For those of you who resolved to be healthier in 2020, the Naples Veg Fest is the perfect way to begin.

After all, plant-based diets—an eating-style that focuses on the consumption of vegetables, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds and legumes—are widely touted for improved health, wellbeing and weight loss.

This annual 100% plant-based fun fest will be held in the fresh outdoors at Sugden Regional Park in Naples on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mike Young, who founded the event along with Michelle Stephens, invites everyone to “come and experience the friendly vibe and learn about the healthy, compassionate, sustainable plant-based lifestyle.”

Admission is free, so bring the whole family—including your leashed pet—along with healthy appetites, reusable water bottles and folding chairs (to view a movie and other presentations).

Here you will find a cornucopia of locally-sourced, eco-friendly and cruelty-free products while gaining insight into the benefits of a plant-based diet.

Offerings include yoga classes, an electric vehicle display, live music, and free filtered drinking water.

The event also features expert speakers and mouth-watering cooking demos. Vendors include vegan cooks, artists, farmers, animal rescue groups and others.

It’s all for two good causes too. Proceeds benefit the nonprofits, (dedicated to educating people about a healthy lifestyle) and (which helps combat childhood poverty).

The Naples Veg Fest is slated for Sunday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers ask that those that plan to attend RSVP on the Naples Veg Fest Facebook page or at so they can prepare adequately for the large crowds that are expected. Visit one week before the event to view a complete schedule of activities.
