About the Strawberry Festival
The Florida Strawberry Festival is an 11-day community event celebrating the strawberry harvest of Eastern Hillsborough County. Each year, over 500,000 visitors enjoy the festival’s headline entertainment, youth livestock shows, exhibits of commerce and, of course, strawberry shortcake.
“The theme of this year’s festival is ‘We’re #1 For FUN!’ with a strong emphasis on bringing folks back together to celebrate fairs and festivals like ours. It’s a time-honored tradition and, in my opinion, one of America’s favorite past times, we’re #1!” said Florida Strawberry Festival President Paul Davis.
The headliner lineup includes acts like The Oak Ridge Boys, Lady A, The Beach Boys, Boyz II Men, Lauren Daigle, Sammy Hagar & The Circle, Tesla, The Bellamy Brothers and Sam Hunt. The full lineup schedule is available on the festival’s website, including ticket sales.
The 2022 festival’s free entertainment includes eating contests, the Florida Strawberry Festival’s Battle of the Bands, Circus Incredible, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, youth livestock shows and more to be announced.
For berry-flavored fun, the festival will serve nearly any strawberry treat you can think of. Shortcake, shakes, jam, sandwiches, cheesecake, pizza (think dessert pizza, with a graham cracker crust, cream cheese base and berry slices on top), cobbler, tacos (as pictured), crepes, lemonade, fritters, fudge and fresh strawberries to take home.
Thursdays, March 3 and 10, are Senior Citizen’s Days, presented by Florida Blue. Guests 60 and older are granted $2 off the general admission price of $10 for an all-day pass. Other special discounted days include free admission for kids through high school age on Saturday, March 5, and American Heroes Day (free general admission for all military, law enforcement and first responder personnel) on March 9.
