Welcome to December 2020!

As a new reader, it’s important to check your sun sign (for example, if you’re born June 25, you’re a Cancer). It’s important to also read your rising and moon sign. The three signs together create your special, individual reading for the month. Don’t know your rising or your moon sign? Google “Natal chart calculator” or try this link– it’s free!

Before we get into December, let’s discuss the powerful eclipse we just experienced on November 30 in Gemini. This represented an important shift for all of us and will take some time to digest. We’re moving into a new age, but it’s not like Samantha on Bewitched, where she twitches her nose and the changes suddenly appear. It’s going to take time, growth and we each need to take personal responsibility to make change through our daily choices, one step at a time. That is the big message we have coming out of the Gemini eclipse; big changes come from daily habits and the small moves.

December is a month of awakening. Since 1802, we have had huge Earth energy which helped our planet process the Industrial Revolution, commercialism, materialism, billionaire tycoons like Carnegie and Rockefeller, the gathering of “stuff.” It was a slow moving process.

On December 21, we move into a new age, when Saturn and Jupiter are conjunct in Aquarius. We will now be experiencing air energy and a new awakening that will last for the next 200 years.  It’s about our collective unconscious, what we share, collaboration, community, the knowledge that what I do affects someone across the world.

On the 21st we also have the winter solstice, and on the 22nd the sun moves into Capricorn where it joins powerful, potent Pluto.

One special note for us all is that Saturn is shifting this month. Look back to March 21 through July 1 of this year to get a sneak peek at what this new Saturn transit will bring for you. Saturn is the stern but loving teacher, the father figure. When he leaves one house, he usually leaves a gift. You learned a life lesson or hopefully mastered a particular part of your life. It’s graduation day and good things are ahead for us all.

Have a blessed December, stay safe and Happy 2021!

December for Aries

This is a huge month, Aries, building in intensity and strength.  It’s the end of an era with Jupiter and Saturn conjunct on the 21st in Aquarius.  We have had Earth energy for the past 200 years, since 1802 and now we are moving into air energy for the next 200 years, so fasten your seatbelts.  What a time to be alive!

What does all of this mean for my Aries friends?  On the 2nd, Mercury moves into your ninth house, followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th, also in your ninth house.  You’ll have new discoveries, new perspectives on life and will start to gain understanding on why you’re here and your purpose.  On the 16th Venus joins Mercury in, you guessed it,  your ninth house.  Noticing a theme?

The ninth house is at the top of your chart, and lights up your area of higher learning, your meaning, your purpose.  Ask yourself, what would you like to learn and study?  Even if you’re not in traditional school, life is the ultimate school and now is the time to open up your higher mind, going on a spiritual quest for truth. It is a great time for teaching, sharing information, publishing, expanding, reaching, growing into yourself.

I do want to mention that Chiron, the “wounded healer” moves direct in your sign on the 15th, just at the time of the eclipse. This is helping you to heal, to move forward and hit that magic reset button.  Chiron and Mars are both in Aries, helping you to move forward with important projects.

While it’s important to move forward, December is also a time to reflect on what we are leaving behind. Take some time this month to just sit with the powerful year we have had and visualize where you want to go in the future.

On the 18th,  Saturn goes into your 11th house, followed by Jupiter on the 20th moving in the 11th house.  Then on the 21st they are conjunct.  This is the big kahuna!  The 11th house is about your network of people, your tribe.  This will be an ongoing theme for you for years.  Your community will play an important role in your life, like never before and the connections you make now will be pivotal. It’s a major energetic surge that will catapult you into 2021.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into the 10th house of career, as it always does each year.  Haven’t you noticed that every year around this time, your career plays an important role?  Ask yourself,  what changes do you want to make?  You’re moving forward into a bright new future.

We have a powerful full moon on the 30th in your 4th house of your home and family.  Are you moving? Restless? Or are you changing your environment in some way?  There are changes coming to light in your home and family.

It’s a fabulous time to create new intentions, to build new habits, as we embrace new energies.  You have big vision energy here, Aries.  Embrace the change.

Taurus

This is a big month for all of us. For Taurus, this month is the stuff of dreams, with nothing but clear skies ahead.

On the 2nd of the month, Mercury, your planet of communication goes into your 8th house, followed by a solar eclipse in your 8th house, then Venus, your ruler, entering your 8th house on the 16th.

All of this 8th house focus deals with fear, panic, trauma and releasing trauma.  Yes, I know I promised clear skies but before the calm, there’s the storm.  Not that this is exactly going to be a storm, as much as a healing in order to have a fresh new beginning.  You’ll learn through all of this 8th house activity that everything will be okay, all is well and you are safe.  Time to free yourself from the emotional pain of the past few years (or longer) and start fresh.  The 8th house also deals with money.  Not your money earned from your job or in your account, but in other people’s money, parents, inheritance, taxes, large gifts or grants.

Taurus is great with resources, so this should be in your territory, but it is time to examine joint resources.  Learn to generate wealth and know your power, your worth.  Knowledge is power.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 10th house of career, followed by Jupiter on the 20th and on the 21st, they conjunct.  Time for a new era and for you, this means career expansion, making decisions on what you will build in the future.  Helping others through what you do, being constructive and positive, not tearing down, but renewal.  It’s a new age and time to fit in globally as well as locally.

On the 22nd, your sun and pluto are in your 9th house of spiritual journey, learning something new, gaining a new perspective or traveling (it’s a bad time for that, but perhaps planning for the future).  It’s also a good placement for teaching or coaching.

On the 3oth, you have a potent full moon in your 3rd house of communication, mental activity, siblings, your mind.  There will be a lot of mental activity, perhaps writing or sharing your insights and gifts.  Remember, thought comes before matter and thoughts become things.  We can control our thoughts.  Meditation is a fabulous practice to cultivate your future and this is the perfect time to begin.

Gemini

Well, well, well, my dear Geminis.  We just had an eclipse in your sign on November 30th.  How did all that go for you? Any insights?  Give it a few days or even weeks, as eclipse energy can sometimes show up before or after the actual eclipse.  Something important is being “eclipsed” out of your life.  With all endings come fabulous new beginnings.

December is an amazing month, transformational in so many ways.  With the huge global shift on the 21st of December when Jupiter and Saturn conjunct in Aquarius, this is fabulous for an air sign like you.  A time for cooperation, information and knowledge.  And that’s what you love, gemini.  Knowledge.

On the 2nd, Mercury, your ruling planet, moves into your 7th house of relationships, followed by an eclipse on the 14th in the 7th house, then Venus moving into your 7th house on the 16th.  Notice a theme?

7th house rules relationships from business partnerships to marriage.  Time for new, fresh beginnings, either ending an old relationship, refreshing a current relationship or the beginning of a new relationship.  No matter what, it is time for forgiving, letting it all go and having a fresh start.  Venus is there shining a loving light while Mercury is helping with communication and healing.  Time to let go of old pain.  Remember, holding onto resentment is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.  It only hurts you when you refuse to forgive.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 9th house (sweet relief) followed by Jupiter on the 20th and they conjunct on the 21st. Aren’t you happy to have saturn out of your 8th house of death, sex and taxes.  What did you learn during Saturn’s transit?  Time for reflection.  You can also look back to March 21-July 1.  Was there a change, something happening at that time?  Saturn was briefly in Aquarius at that time giving you a clue as to your next life lesson.

What does a 9th house transit consist of?  It focuses on your quest for meaning and substance, making your dreams into reality, learning, sharing knowledge or going back to school, international connections, getting in touch with our spirituality.

On the 22nd, the Sun enters our 8th house of emotional self, healing, releasing traumas.  You’ve just hosted saturn in this house, so you know the energy well. And on the 30th we have a full moon in Cancer, your 2nd house of finances and money.  Are you thinking of making your money in a different way, making some changes?  It’s the perfect time to use your mind and lead us into the new future.

Cancer

Woo hoo! What an amazing month in store.  There is a change of paradigms.  Now we move into the Age of Air, community, togetherness, information and technology.

For you, my fellow Cancerians, it is the close out of Saturn in Capricorn in your 7th house.  That is probably one of the most difficult transits to process.  Our Leo friends are now moving into this.  Of course, once Saturn moves into your 8th House, it’s not all fun and games, but because it’s Aquarian energy, it has the possibility of being easier to bear.  Think back to March 21-July 1 of this year, while Saturn briefly moved into Aquarius.  Any new themes come up for you during that time? That might give you a clue as to what lessons you’ll be learning in “Saturn school.”

On the 2nd, Mercury moves into your sixth house joined by a solar eclipse on the 14th in your sixth house.  Then Venus will move into your sixth house on the 16th.  What does this mean?

Sixth house rules your daily work habits, your routine.  You might be working from home, or taking a closer look at your physical health and routines, diet, exercise and daily habits. Take a look at your rituals and make the necessary changes where needed.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 8th house, followed by Jupiter on the 20th and they conjunct on the 21st, all in your 8th house.

Pull up a chair and get used to this 8th house energy, where Saturn will help rid you of old patterns, fears, panics.  Saturn is the wise teacher who finds your weaknesses and helps to release them and grow into a new you, free of baggage.  It’s a good time for digging deep, research, collaborative partnerships in business.  Take this time to free yourself emotional angst and let it go. The 8th house is known as the house of death, sex and taxes, but we have come to understand that it’s much more complex than that.

On the 22nd, the Sun and Pluto meet in your relationship area, the 7th house.  You’re used to 7th house energy of personal and business relationships (marriage, partners) having just said goodbye to Saturn and Jupiter.

On the 30th we have a strong full moon in your sign, Cancer.  You are ruled by the moon, and any moon activity is especially powerful for you.  What a way to end the year.  It’s all about you, your identity and time to create new year’s resolutions as well as review your accomplishments.   Focus your intentions or resolutions on how you want to be seen, how you want to move through the world and make your mark.  The blockages have been released and the chains have been removed.  Time to move into your future.

Leo

Boy, do we have a lot to cover for December 2020!  There is a lot happening and it’s a mixed bag.  The first three weeks of the month are important for Leos in connecting to your heart.  Allow your heart to lead you and allow your gorgeous self to shine.

On the 2nd of the month, Mercury, our little planet of communication moves into your 5th house of creativity, joy and romance, followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th in your 5th house ending with Venus moving in the same house on the 16th.

What does that mean for you?  Creativity, romance and joy, baby! Dare to awaken the child within, dream, create, manifest and be the best charismatic leo that you can be.  Use your talents and set clear intentions for your future.  It could be a new creative business or enterprise. It could also be a new romance.  Whatever it is, allow yourself to be joyful and look at yourself with love.  Joy and gratitude are both strong powers for manifestation and is the seed to plant for your future gifts.  This has been a tough year.

Here’s the mixed bag part I was telling you about, dear Leo friends.  On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 7th house, followed by Jupiter in your 7th house on the 20th and then they conjunct on the 21st.

The 7th house can be a challenging transit.  It’s the house of partnership, marriage and business, relationships.  This is a transformational time for these close relationships.  If a partnership is rocky, this is a time when many decide to move on to the next chapter.  It’s a time of endings or transformation of some kind.

I know of one person who just had this 7th house transit.  Their 18 year marriage, which had been on shaky ground for years, imploded.  The good news is a new, healthy and loving relationship magically appeared.  In typical Saturn fashion, this relationship is moving nice and slow for both of them.  So you see, it’s not all bad.  Saturn is the professor of the planets and represents the “Father” energy.  Saturn only changes what needs fixing in order for you to have a happy life.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 6th house of work, day to day habits, health and physical fitness, diet, exercise.  This is a good time for renewal in all of these areas.

And we end the year with a full moon on the 30th in your 12th house of your inner world, meditation, being in nature, being quiet and exploring the metaphysical.  Dig deep for renewal and change and pay attention to your dreams.  They’re powerful and possibly prophetic at the end of the year.

Virgo

Welcome to a powerful month.  It’s a big month of shift to different energies with rapid changes.  For Virgo’s it’s all about commitment, nurturing and growth.

On the 2nd, Mercury moves into your 4th house of home and family, followed by a solar eclipse in the same house on the 14th.  Venus moves into your 4th house on the 16th.

The 4th house is about laying down roots, your security, stability, home, nurturing what makes you feel at home. It’s a time of change and renewal, freeing yourself of clutter (which be honest, is right up your alley).  Your family definition might change a bit at this time or move.  You might also start working from home and because of this, decide to make changes.  It’s an important time to nest and nurture, creating your sanctuary.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 6th house.  This is great news for you, Virgos, as the 6th house is your house.  It’s what you’re all about.  Then Jupiter moves into your 6th house on the 20th following by the Grand Conjunction the next day, the 21st.

As I said, this is comfortable energy for you.  It’s your daily work habits, your routine, what you want to accomplish and the methodology behind achieving your goals.  How can you use this energy to find your place in the world?  Those are the important questions to ask at this time.  Perhaps it’s time to take a look at your routines and habits and hit the reset button on diet and exercise, wellness, both physical, emotional and spiritual. It’s a time of transformation and greater healing.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 5th house of romance and play.  This is a time that features children, joy, there’s great power in anything creative and connecting with that child within.  Do what makes your heart sing and follow your passions.

On the 30th, you have a full moon in your 11th house of friendships and connections.  There could be some changes in your social circle.  Time to set new intentions on how you connect with the wider world and what you can give to the world to make it a better place.

Libra

It’s a dense and powerful month, my friends.  The good news for you is that much of this energy is air-connected, compatible for my Libra friends.  Aquarius is all about sharing and it’s a time for Libras to shine on.

On the 2nd, we have Mercury in your 3rd house of communication, followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th, then Venus in the 3rd house on the 16th.

3rd house energy is fun for you, featuring communication, networking, connecting far and wide.  It’s also a great time for learning, teaching, sharing information and working with your mind.  You have a quick mind anyway, Libras.  Thoughts seem to appear out of nowhere for you and this is a positive transit.  You can gain mastery over your thoughts and thinking.  Time to focus on meditation to gain some peace of mind.

Remember, mental energy comes before action.  Thoughts come before things and Libras are natural at the balance of attachment and detachment from thoughts.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 5th house, followed by Jupiter on the 20th and they conjunct in your 5th house of romance, creativity and children on the 21st.

Get used to this energy, because it will be with us for quite some time.  It’s time to have fun, to create, embrace joy, romance.  Perhaps it’s time to start a new enterprise, following your passion.  Children are featured at this time.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 4th house of home, family. There could be new developments to family changes.  You might be moving or there might be a new family member.  Either way, it’s a good time to spruce up your home, declutter and perhaps learn a bit about the artform, feng shui at this time.

On the 30th, we have a full moon in your 10th house of career.  You might be re-evaluating your career in some way or making a change.  Opportunities to shine could be around the corner.  Where would you like to belong?  What is your place.  Make sure to make everyday, simple choices that will move you to your next, fabulous step.

Scorpio

There are a lot of shifts this month.  For Scorpios, it can be a tender time, healing and intimate.  Life will begin to be lighter for you, finally. I do want to note that you start off the month with venus in your sign, which is lovely.  You are the flavor of the month until the 16th.  Time to pamper yourself, if at all possible, update your wardrobe, get that spa treatment.

On the 2nd of the month, Mercury moves into your 2nd house of money and finance, followed by a solar eclipse in the 2nd house with Venus joining them on the 16th.

The 2nd house rules money, earned money, talents, gifts and resources.  It’s time to reevaluate your money.  Could you work harder or smarter?  How do you look at your finances?  It’s time to get things in order and examine how you use your gifts and talents.  Find what you love and turn it into some cha-ching$

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 4th house, followed by Jupiter on the 20th where they conjunct on the 21st.

The 4th house rules your home, your roots, security and family.  You might be making a move of some sort, moving home or working towards stability in your life.  It’s a good time to examine what stability means for you.  It’s different for every person.  It’s time to connect with your tribe, your family and those you hold most dear.  No matter the circumstances, in the next few years, your home and environment will look different than it does today.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 3rd house of communication, siblings, your mind and mental activity, writing and publishing.  And on the 30th, you have a full moon in your 9th house of spirituality, meaning.  You’ll see life from a wider lens and recognize that we’re moving into a global community.  Travel if at all possible.  You can create new communities, possible publishing opportunities are good at this time along with learning, mentoring or coaching.

Sagittarius

Happy Birthday, my sweet Sag friends!  Did you know that Sagittarius is the one sign (along with Aquarius) that loves to create nicknames?  I’ve never met a Sag who calls someone by their full name. If your name can be made into a nickname, Sag can do it.  So, I’m sure you don’t mind me calling you “Sag.” The first couple of weeks of December are your solar return, so Happy Days!

On the 2nd of the month, Mercury moves into your 1st house, followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th in the same house.  Venus moves in on the 16th, you charming thing, you.

1st house energy is all about you, baby!  Set your intentions on your bright, fabulous future.  What would you like to manifest?  Make your resolutions then take the steps to turn them into reality.  It’s a time for a reset, for you and for the world with you leading the way with your optimistic, positive, joyful energy.  You are charm personified and popular this month with unlimited potential and freedom, which you value more than air.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 3rd house, followed by Jupiter on the 20th, where they conjunct on the 21st.  It’s a new age and for you this presents itself through communication, siblings, your mind and writing, blogging, podcasting, anything to share your information with the world.  Thoughts are powerful.  Think big.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 2nd house of money and finances, like it does every year at this time.  It’s joined by powerhouse Pluto, making it a time for renewal of your finances, your gifts, what you share and how you monetize all of the above.

On the 30th we end the month with a full moon in your 8th house of shared resources, other people’s money.  It’s the house of death, sex and taxes, phobias and fears.  Set intentions to release what holds you back, heal, let go and move into a new, fresh 2021.

Capricorn

Happy Birthday month, Capricorn! The month can be divided into two parts for you.  Until the 22, it will be quiet, contemplative, digging deep.  Then on the 22nd when the sun enters your sign, it’s all systems go, baby!

On the 2nd, Mercury is entering your 12th house followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th.  Venus joins them in the 12th house.  This is exactly what I was referring to earlier, Capricorns.  The 12th house is about digging deep, dreams, releasing what no longer serves you.  It also represents hidden enemies, but hopefully there is none of that going on for you.

It’s time to deepen your knowledge of the metaphysical and welcome in calm and peace.  Meditation is fabulous at this time and listen to your dreams.  They could be more vivid and powerful than usual and even prophetic

On the 18th, Saturn enters your 2nd house of money, followed by Jupiter on the 20th, where they conjunct on the 21st.  Capricorn, you have had Saturn and Jupiter in your sign for quite some time and still have powerhouse Pluto until 2023.  As a matter of fact, your sign of capricorn has defined our age for the past 200 years.  Time to let go and let the energy shift to Aquarius.

Saturn happens to rule both Capricorn and Aquarius, so it will still feel comfortable for you and will actually be quite a positive shift in energy.  The 2nd house rules not just your money but your gifts and talents, what you share and how you monetize these gifts and talents that you share with the world.  Time to restructure and build your fortune, as your wealth could increase.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 1st house of beautiful YOU!  Happy birthday season, Capricorns. It’s all about you. Shine your light and create good health, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Pamper yourself and heal.  On the 30th the moon moves into your mirror, or opposite sign of Cancer which rules your relationships and partnerships.  It’s time for a reboot or a healing of the old.  Perhaps you have a new relationship on the horizon.  It’s new energy in your area of partnerships, marriage and business.

Aquarius

Woo hoo, darling Aquarians!  This is an exciting time for the world and for you.  It’s the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

There is a lot of debate and theory as to when this age begins, where we move from the Age of Pisces to Aquarius.  We have been experiencing Saturn and Jupiter conjunct in Capricorn energy for the past 200 years.  For the next 200 years, it will be in Aquarius, hosting a long series of air energy.

On the 2nd, Mercury, the planet of communication moves into your 11th house.  The 11th house is your house and is a fantastic transit for you.  On the 14th we have a solar eclipse in your 11th house and then Venus moves in for a visit to your 11th house.

Like I said, the 11th house rules your friendships, your community, perhaps a new community will come about at this time.  This house rules the internet so perhaps you’ll stumble upon or create an online, virtual community that will bring you joy.  You could find some amazing new people and connections, collaboration and planting seeds.  It’s time to dream and make wishes, setting new intentions.

Then on the 18th, Saturn moves into your sign followed by Jupiter on the 20th, where they have their Grand Conjunction on the 21st.  We’ve been singing about the Age of Aquarius since the 60’s and it’s finally here.  It’s all about personal growth and expansion, travel (if you can), your career, stretching yourself, tearing down the old to build the new.  Anything is possible for you with this transit.  Take your time to visualize what you want to see, and make your thoughts into reality.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 12th house of dreams.  Take a time out for peace, to be in nature.  All things metaphysical are featured.  You could benefit from journaling, writing, which will all help you in manifesting your dreams.

Then on the 3oth, we have a full moon in your 6th house of daily work, habits, physical health, rituals, even pets and our animal loved ones fall in this house.  Are there changes you can make that will bring you more joy, peace and move you closer to the life you visualize for yourself?  No matter what, something very new is on your horizon, dear Aquarius friends.

Pisces

Your month starts off just coming off of the Gemini eclipse on the 30th of November where it made some changes in your 4th house of home and family.  Perhaps the changes haven’t manifested or are just starting to take shape.

Right off the bat, Mercury goes into your 10th house of career, followed by a solar eclipse on the 14th in the same house.  Venus will join them in your career house on the 16th.  You have a push pull with your work and career at this time.  Perhaps there are some career changes taking place.  Set some new intentions for what you want to see in the future.  Do you do what you love or are you working for the paycheck?  If it’s the latter, it’s time to follow your heart and use your talents to shine a light in the world.  It can be small changes at first, but put out your powerful love energy, Pisces.

On the 18th, Saturn moves into your 12th house, followed by Jupiter, where they conjunct on the 21st.  The 12th house is your house, Pisces.  It’s a comfortable placement for you.  It’s the house of dreams, your internal world, your spiritual practice,  Maybe with all of this career energy, it might be time to make a living in the metaphysical, health and healing.  You can start to explore this side of yourself in more depth.

On the 22nd, the sun moves into your 11th house of friends, connections, power people and powerful links.  With Pluto in this house, it could be a potent time.

One the 30th, we have a lovely new moon in Cancer which is your 5th house of creativity, romance, love, joy.  It also rules business and entrepreneurship built from a place of passion.  It’s an exciting time!

I can be reached at orioncsirius@gmail.com for any questions or comments.  I love to hear how the transits are affecting you.  If you need a chart done for yourself or a loved one, I have limited space available.  Happy 2021!
