The Cat Depot recently hosted a Meow Masquerade at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in Sarasota. Guests were welcomed by a traditional New Orleans style strolling band and face painting.

Over $80,000 was raised at this successful event for the Sarasota based cat rescue and resource center.

Handcrafted specialty drinks – “Catnip Cocktails” – and hors d’oeuvres were served while guests posed for photos. The fabulous silent auction had items to please everyone including the most discerning cat lovers.

After dining on a delightful Cajun dinner and welcoming Cat Depot’s new executive director, Jackie Ott Jaakola, guests where entertained by a whimsical show presented by the Circus Arts Conservatory.

This year’s committee was led by Gala Chair Alexis Meininghaus along with Sandy and Joe Coppa, Dilia and John Kloeckner, Beverly Meadows, and Garo Partoyan.
