With springtime comes an urge to reinvent ourselves. Most of us feel this at the beginning of January and take action to change our lifestyles for the better. Then come spring, we need another push to keep up with the positive changes we’ve implemented (or given up). Spring is an opportunity for rebirth in every sense.
Each February is coated in heart-shaped everything. From sweaters to chocolates and everything in between, this month is defined by those colorful little doodles.
However, this month isn’t just about the cartoon version of what beats in our chests—it's also American Heart Month. With that comes increased awareness of what you can do to keep your ticker in tip-top shape.

Once September makes an appearance, it has a way of making us feel as though fall has arrived. The temperatures may still be balmy, but the promise of the coziest time of year can’t be beaten. And although most of us aren’t quite ready for pumpkin spice-drenched treats, the end of summer is joyous enough to celebrate.
This month holds two exciting recognized holidays: Senior Citizen’s Day and National Honey Bee Awareness Day. And although you wouldn’t think these two have anything in common, you may be surprised by the amount of good that locally sourced honey can have on a senior body.
