In 1978, John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd made their national television debut on Saturday Night Live with their super-charged rendition of Soul Man.

Belushi died in1982; now his little brother Jim takes on the role of Brother Zee as he pairs
up with Aykroyd on the Wish Farms Soundstage at the Florida Strawberry Festival March 9.

The Florida Strawberry Festival is an 11-day event (March 2-12) celebrating the strawberry harvest of Eastern Hillsborough County.

Each year, nearly 500,000 visitors enjoy the festival’s headline entertainment, youth livestock shows, exhibits of commerce and, of course, its strawberry flavored shortcake, dessert pizza, hamburgers, fritters and much more.

This year’s festival theme, “We’re playing Your Song,” brings forth a lively medley of top talent like Willie Nelson, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Patti LaBelle, to name a few.

Tickets for admission and headline entertainment shows can be purchased online, at the Amscot Main Ticket Office, or by calling (813) 754-1996.

Free seating for each concert is also available on a first come, first seated basis.

Good old-fashioned Midway fun is back with over 80 rides, games and attractions where guests of all ages can turn and churn, ride and roar.

For a more relaxed pace, visit the Neighborhood Village, where handcrafted items abound; don’t miss the livestock and horticultural exhibits.
