The Gift of Relaxation

The holiday season is nearing and you may already be wondering what
to gift everyone on your “Nice” list. Delight friends with this simply
indulgent DIY beauty bath soak that helps to soothe joints and summon softer,
more radiant skin.

Chocolate Oatmeal Bath Soak

1 c. oat flour
softens and moisturizes skin to lock in moisture; good for eczema and contact dermatitis

1/2 c. Epsom salt high in magnesium to relieve muscle tension and soothe
joint pain

1/4 c. cacao powder
natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to calm skin redness

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
boosts circulation to bring nutrients to skin surface, antibacterial to heal
minor blemishes

5-6 drops of vanilla essential oil (optional) relaxing aromatherapy benefits, encourages sleep

Combine and pour the dry mix
into a small mason jar. Adorn
the lid with fabric or ribbons
tied with small baubles; an
optional bottle of vanilla essential oil; and a note card with recipe and instructions: “Draw a warm bath and add mixture to running water. Soak in the decadent skin-healing goodness and feel tension melt away.” This beauty soak can be added to a large bowl of warm water and used for hands or feet, too.
